What is a collective? 
A collective is an organization formed to benefit student-athletes, usually at a specific institution. These collectives are typically founded by alumni of the school and operate independent of the university and athletic departments. They pool funds from boosters and businesses, help facilitate NIL deals for athletes, and create their own ways for athletes to monetize their brands.
